Once you submit the new agent forms, it can take up to 72 business hours to process the paperwork and get started. Once processed, you will be given full access to our agent portal and will also need to activate the CRM. You will be able to start registering with suppliers under the Outside Agents credentials so you can begin making bookings.

We do not charge a start up fee. The membership fee includes the technology, training, marketing tools, supplier resources, mentoring, credentials, E&O insurance, etc.

We do offer optional tools and resources for additional costs. This includes a $50 fee for domain mapping under the $26/month plan associated with our agent website. We do not charge for domain mapping under the $46/month plan.

We also charge registration fees for live training sessions that we offer in our Jacksonville, FL office. This training is not required, only an option.

In addition, the state of Florida charges an annual $50 Florida exemption fee that is paid directly to the state. This is not an Outside Agents fee. We do provide a link to the state of Florida website for agents to register and pay the fee.

The commission split starts at 80%. Based on commission earned from Outside Agents over the prior 12 months, the commission split can increase to 90% or 95%. The commission split is the same under both membership levels.

Outside Agents pay commission each week on Tuesdays. Once we receive the commission payment from the supplier (which is usually after the client has traveled) we then pay the agent the commission owed to them.

Agents can earn an IATAN and CLIA card under Outside Agents. To be eligible for these cards under the OA credentials, an agent must earn $5,000 in commission in the prior 12 months.

To maintain the cards, you must continue to earn a minimum of $5,000 in commission from Outside Agents each year and also attain and maintain a 3 to 1 ratio of client-bookings to self-bookings.

A robust, fully customizable website is provided to all agents. They feature specials and promotions updated for you, live booking engines for automated transactions, fresh content daily, and much more. Most importantly, you are in total control from branding to booking and everything in between.

Yes! At a minimum, agents must report all bookings in the CRM in order to be paid commission, and for commission reconciliation.

Outside Agents does not provide an email address to members. Agents are required to have their own email address.

Outside Agents offers a very competitive commission structure program with our preferred suppliers, including cruise lines, river cruise companies, tour operators, wholesalers, all inclusive resorts, hotel companies, car rental companies, travel insurance companies and airline consolidators.

Outside Agents offers the most awarded Learning Management System in the travel industry featuring an exclusive learn at your own pace, on-demand course and resource library that walks the agent through everything they need to know about travel. From the basics of selling travel to deep dives into niche travel, Outside Agents trainings not on just what you need to know, but how, where, and when to use it, and why. Live webinars that are usually hosted by our preferred suppliers are also available to all members.

Outside Agents also offers one-on-one mentoring for new members, monthly live training in our Jacksonville office which are usually 5 day sessions and also hosts an annual conference.

Outside Agents is a member of Travel Leaders Network. Outside Agents members get full access to the Travel Leaders Network membership, including their agent portal called Agent Universe. This is included under both membership options.

Remember, we offer month-to-month membership, no setup fees, and we make it easier to leave than it was to sign up, just download your clients and cancel from within our portal.

Outside Agents will pay pending commission(s) to an agent that cancels their membership as long as the agent is still active with the bookings, the bookings have been properly logged into the CRM and no monies are owed to Outside Agents, clients, or vendors.

FAM trips are visits to resorts and destinations for the purpose of educating agents. These trips are often offered at a reduced or discount rate.

Outside Agents regularly offers exclusive FAM trips to qualified agents. The eligibility requirements for Outside Agents’ FAMs include approval, a minimum of $2,500 earned commission from OA in the prior 12 months, coursework, and that the agent attain and maintain a 3 to 1 ratio of client to self bookings. Additional information is provided in our member portal.

Yes. We make both domestic and international air available to you at contracted rates through air consolidators and live booking engines. You can also often package air with cruises and land tours depending on the vendor.

Important note: Please don’t try to make a living selling domestic air. They are high risk, low reward transactions.

Outside Agents offers the Marketing Center which includes effective promotional bundles that provides tools to promote your favorite vendors’ offers. You can also access high-resolution, print-quality graphics, exclusive vendor incentives, monthly marketing spotlights, industry blog posts, articles, and videos and the Managed Marketing System (MMS), an email marketing tool that automates the process of sending professionally designed customized emails to your clients with a competitive travel offer.
